Not a terrible frame but not a great one either. Hence the 3 stars. How to use this frame: Pull the four edge pieces away from the styrene (plexiglass). Remove the thin film from BOTH sides of the plexiglass. Place your poster on the wooden backing and place the plexiglass on top. Now comes the tricky part. All four outer edge pieces must be reassembled so all the corners mesh together. Easier said than done. You can't just slap them in there. Patience is required. It didn't take me all that long to do it but it was a bit of work. Now the real negatives: The edge pieces cover up 1/2 inch of your 11X17 poster all around. So if this is an issue for you don't buy this frame. The other negative is the cheapo hangers on the back.They are small and thin which makes it hard to hang your frame in a straight manner. I got it to work but more wiggle room sure would be nice. So, my poster is up and the frame looks okay. I guess it will do until I find something better.
